Since the Student Media Poll launched in 2021, audio content has been a focus. With three podcasts in the Poll’s inaugural year (SMP Podcast, Student SECtion, Back 2 MACtion), podcasting has been a successful venture.
In 2022, we launch the SMP Podcast Network, which aims to create new podcasts hosted by our members across a variety of topics in college sports, in addition to more content from our previously existing shows. Content will be made available across a variety of podcasting platforms and the SMP’s YouTube channel.
The new SMP Podcast Network will be managed by Jack Duffey, student at the University of Georgia, co-host of the Student SECtion podcast and writer at The Red & Black.
More information about the upcoming project, including new shows, will be announced in the coming months.
