The Student Media Poll is making its television debut in “The Press Pass,” a new show on Indiana University Student Television.
The show will feature two teams of two, three new SMP voters each week and SMP Founder and Director Patrick Felts, competing in sports debates about various topics to claim the highest number of points, decided by a to-be-determined host.
The show will begin airing this week in a test run phase, and will enter full production beginning in Fall 2022.
Felts will join the show as a producer alongside IUSTV’s Emma Watson and Evan Kamikow. SMP voter and Executive Board member Ryan Haley, a student at the University of Florida and former sports editor of The Independent Florida Alligator, will serve in a producer role as well.
“I’m incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with such a talented team and spotlight the incredible voters at the SMP,” Felts said. “This has been in the works for quite some time, and I can’t wait for people to see what we have planned.”
